I'm doing my best to stay interested in ZC, but when an update only really brings unneeded content, and ignores existing bugs, why bother?

I now crash almost every time I do the following:-

1. Go to friends list. Switch friends viewable. Return to game. Go to map. Select any friend's cafe. CRASH.
2. Visit several friend's cafes. Collect fees. Return to game. CRASH. All collected fees reset.
3. Press the 'Play' button. CRASH.

I lost several hours of serving time yesterday due to the first bug. Left my iPad on, cafe open all day. Made several thousand $. Did the things listed in #1, crashed, and the latest save game offered to me was from 8 hours earlier!!!!!

It's time ZC used the example set by Lil Pirates. Save games to 'the cloud' at regular intervals. Allow the same cafe to be played across multiple gadgets. Change the totally primitive cafe switching menu to something more user friendly.

And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, get rid of the FaceBook friends thing! I'm sick of people I don't know, wanting to be my friend just to play a game!!!!

Excellent post, very well written. I agree on all points. I'm not really sure how I feel about FB tho since there seems to be some sort of conflict/bug when GC and FB are used at the same time. I use GC only for ZC.

I've experienced all three crashes you describe. In one instance I lost a recently unlocked escargut variant.. Those are not easy for me to come by, I was not happy..

If Capcom would incorporate even half of your suggestions into the next update I'd be very pleased.

Actually, I can't reproduce one of your game-crash bugs. The game works fine for me.
The last time a had a crash was a few weeks ago, must be Version 1.0.3 of the game or something. The game crashed on pressing the "Play" button. I solved the problem bei deactivating "Notifications" in the options menu.

Maybe you should give us (or the developers) some more information.
Which device do you use? What version of iOS do you use? Do you use Wireless LAN or not? Have you tried to change something in the options menu? (Increasing/Decrasing sound volume of the game, (de-)activate notifications, connect/sign out of Facebook).

The last thing I would do (if nothing helps), if you use your device for a long time now, backup via iTunes, reset the device to defaults, restore your backup.

At least, I definitely agree with you, that Capcom should backup their game on its own server, so you can play on several devices and don't lose you data if something crashes.

I'm using an iPad 1, with iOS 4.2.1 jailbroken. Please don't say that jail breaking is the problem. I had the same issues prior to jailbreaking, and none of my other apps have an issue with it.

I'm not logged into FaceBook, only the nerfed Game Centre which only allows you to have 50 ZC friends, otherwise it won't load the friends list in the game!!! I posted in the ZC FaceBook page, which is why i get the requests.

Yes, I use wireless, but I also get the same crash issues when I turn off wifi. My sound is always off, but even turning it on makes no difference. Notifications??? These are part of the game! I shouldn't have to turn them off, but if I do it makes no difference.

Gotcha, my game isn't logged into FB either. I originally posted over there in search of level 17+ friends because at the time I only had a cpl that had recipes I needed (everything was unlocked up to level 16, but many higher level recipes were missing, wanted more connections with hopes of maxing out my recipe book). I did find three or four good friends that cooked back and also had the recipes I needed. However, I was also BOMBARDED with requests from low level players that had nada to offer. In most cases they were raided and unfriended because I clearly stated level 17+ players only.

Just lost an entire day and loads of day+ orders. I might play again if a worthwhile update is released, but for now……..see ya!
